Our latest one was the glorious August 12th, date of the Richmond and Kingston M.E. Group garden party and plant swap of course!
We had splendid sunny weather and the delightful company of members new and old in Linda’s lovely garden. A few plants were swapped but the main activity was chatting, drinking tea, and eating the delicious fresh figs from Linda’s tree.
It was a very relaxed afternoon with Alan, Peter, Sarah, Nicky, Maureen, Claire, Mark, who is a potential new member, and myself. Linda was a great host as ever and relaxed because she did not have to travel to the venue nor return home again.
This is the big advantage to hosting one of our monthly get-togethers - and you get to pick the time and date. But, best of all, after the fun of seeing everyone and when the batteries start to run down, you are at home and can rest to suit yourself.
