We held our Group AGM at the beginning of October. You will be pleased to hear that the Committee were all re-elected for another year.
We do still need some help though, and if anyone could help Helen with sending out the birthday cards or could write to the local press occasionally please let us know!
In my Chair’s report I thanked everyone on the Committee for all their hard work over the year. I also thanked all of you for completing the survey which is proving so useful in raising awareness of our needs, and for being such a supportive group, for example, on the e-mail network.
Sadly, Dr Megan Arroll was ill and was unable to come and talk about the survey and her research. We hope to reschedule that. Instead we watched a DVD made by Marion Michell of the Camberwell ME Group who has severe ME: On Practising Art and Living with ME, which led to a lively discussion.
We are using part of this in our ME Awareness training and it is proving very useful.
