Another publicity drive for Richmond and Kingston ME Group!
A huge thank you to all the stalwarts who did a splendid job ‘manning’ the stall.
Heather, Paula, Audrey and Alan at the Stall in Richmond
Linda came early and talked to lots of people and made contact with a local conservative councilor at the stall next door. Then Alan arrived for a split shift from 11-12 and 1-2 with a well-earned lunch with a friend in between.
12-1 was very ably covered by Audrey and Paula, our new members from last years Kingston stall. They persuaded Linda to go and Heather arrived at 1, so Audrey went off to lunch to return at 2 with Brian. Nicky completed the rota from 2.30 to 4pm with me. Heather continued on past her allotted time as well, having a long conversation with Mary who has put her name down to join the group, as did Lynette.
The sun shone for us again, and more than 100 leaflets were handed out to individuals and bundles to two nurses. Again there were conversations with people who were just so relieved to have someone to talk to, stories of good and bad medical support and items of interest to follow up.
It was a long but thoroughly worthwhile day, made very enjoyable by the companionship and efforts of all involved, Thank you again.
