Professor Anthony Komaroff from Harvard Medical School gave a lecture in a seminar on ME/CFS held in Stockholm, Sweden on 24th August 2011.

 

In his presentation, he covers the international recognition of the illness as real, the definition of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), the biology of the condition involving the brain and autonomic nervous system, the chronic activation of the immune system, the oxidative/nitrosative stress and abnormalities in energy metabolism, and the possible role of infectious agents in triggering and perpetuating the illness.
